Slate
Slate is a rock type structured in a compact composition of layers - almost stratified. The slate stone is natural clifted with the layers to achieve very fine breaking lines that can replace cutting and grinding. There are several kinds of slate stones – the soft, delicate clay slate and the hard, solid micaceous slate.
Slate is an attractive product, and is offered in the colours black, grey, grey-green, green and flame colours.
Slate is incredibly resistant and requires only a minimum of maintenance – it is therefore suitable for various interior purposes such as tables, counters, floors, walls and stairs. The slate is also highly recommendable for outdoor use as paving for terraces, facades, aprons and for pedestrian streets. Outside the micaceous slate is preferable, as it is frost proof.
