Marble
Marble, limestone & sandstone are softer rock types.
Many limestones contain fragments of shells from snails and octopuses. Marble, limestone & sandstone are typically found in pastel colours such as white, grey, yellow, red and blue but can also be found in darker shades.
Marble, limestone & sandstone can be used in numerous ways. It’s particularly suited for the kitchen and bathroom partly because of its beauty but also because it requires a minimum of maintenance. It’s just as suitable for floors and walls as it gives the room a warmth and elegance you wont achieve with many other materials.
Limestone is also ideal outside, when used for facades as the vertical limestone does not get adversely affected by the climate or acid rain - on the contrary it patinates beautifully.
Marble, limestone & sandstone however, are not acid resistant and can therefor not endure all cleaning products.
